Before & After School Care Program

Dear Parents,

All students arriving on campus between the hours of 7:10 a.m. and 7:45 a.m. must report to Before School Care in the cafeteria.  BSC students must be dropped off at the cafeteria door across from the gym.  Students arriving between 7:45 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. should be dropped off at the main door in front of the building with the supervised teacher on duty.  Students remaining on campus after 3:40 p.m. must report to After School Care.  Students involved in tutoring or athletics must report to the classroom or gymnasium at 3:40 p.m.  This is a school policy and no student is to be unsupervised anywhere on campus after 3:40 p.m.  There should be no video games or music players of any kind brought to BSC/ASC (See handbook for items brought to school).  On duty teachers will have their cell phones with them at all times.  If parents need to get a hold of their child, the parents may call the teacher on duty (See numbers attached).

Before School Care is from 7:10 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. and will be held in the cafeteria.   Students arriving between 7:10 a.m. and 7:45 a.m. must be dropped off at the cafeteria.  After 7:45 a.m., students need to be dropped off at the front entrance.  After School Care is from 3:40 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. and will be held in the cafeteria.  No student will be left in the hall or outside without supervision.  A snack will be given everyday during After School Care. 

All students must be picked up no later than 5:45 p.m.  Please keep in mind that the teachers will have worked a 10-hour school day by this time, and the students will have been at school almost as long.  There should be no exceptions to the 5:45 p.m. pick-up time.  If there is an emergency or you are stuck in traffic, please call the teacher on duty and let her know.  When picking up your child, please go to the cafeteria door and honk.

A bill will be sent home the first week of each month for charges for that previous month.  Payment is due within one week that the bills are sent home.  There will be a 10% late fee for payments not made within one week.  The bills will be sent home with K-6 students and will be mailed for 7-12 grade students.  When paying by check, please keep separate from other charges and put the payment in an envelope marked BSC/ASC.  Please turn in payments to Mrs. Cornett or the mailbox outside her office.  Do not give the bill to the teacher or the office.

Please fill out the attached form and return it by August 28, 2009, to Mrs. Hall in the office if you plan to use BSC/ASC anytime during the school year.

Charges will be in ½ hour increments.  The chart is as follows:

*Please note:

After school care ends promptly at 5:45 p.m.  There will be an additional charge of $5.00 for every 5 minutes past 5:45 p.m.
