HERE FOR A PURPOSE

JEREMIAH 29:11

August has arrived.  The floors have been waxed, classrooms and hallways have been repainted, new textbooks have arrived, and the school bell is ringing Welcome Back!    As the new school year gets started, please let me thank all the parents who helped us open the doors by working this summer to clean and paint around the school. Thank you for your time and investment in our school and in the lives of our students.  Now I want to ask everyone in joining our teachers and staff in praying for this new school year.  My prayer is that this school year will be an experience our students will never forget, and that they will be able to say, “This was my best school year yet!”

Last year we adopted the theme, “Building together for this good work” based on Nehemiah 2:18.  It was truly a great year as teachers and parents joined together to strengthen our school’s program and to publicize BGBS to their friends and the public.  This year’s enrollment is expected to top 200 students in K-12th grades.  Let’s thank God for helping us to expand our territories.

This year we are adopting the theme, “Here For A Purpose” based on Jeremiah 29:11.  My main desire this school year is for our students to simply know that they are “Here For A Purpose.”  In striving for this purpose our teaching aims will focus on:

·          The Creator of the entire universe and everything in it cares about you and desires to carry out His purposes through you. You are important.  You are somebody because God loves you and cares so much about you!

·          God cares so much about His people and He wants them to have eternal life in Him through the Lord Jesus Christ.  This is God’s grace given to us.

·          We please God with our lives when we commit to living as His servants.  We also please God by serving others and making an impact on all those around us. Living this kind of life is the way we know we are living out the purposes of God.

I look forward to a great year at Blue Grass Baptist School.  You can help us make it so by committing to pray for our students and staff as often as they come to your mind.

  For His children,

  Guy Causey
